Global luxury and independent hotels brand Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) today said it plans to add 10 hotels in the country to expand its operations.

"Indian hospitality sector is booming and we plan to cater to the growing demand in the country. We hope to add 10 properties and 500 rooms this year and are looking at 200 per cent growth in revenue in India," SLH Chief Executive Officer Paul Kerr told PTI here.

The company's global revenues stood at $88 million in 2010. "With the market picking up, we hope to cross $100 million in 2011 globally," Kerr said.

Currently, SLH has 13 properties in India offering 701 rooms pan-India and is targeting to add 10 properties every year.

Even as the demand is surging, there are not enough hotels catering to the luxury segment in the country, he said.

"Our focus is smaller and independent properties with best of facilities with high service standards," he said.
