Sobha Developers, SRF & Sundaram Fasteners Q3 result

Sobha Developers’ net tanks 88 per cent
Sobha Developers, the Bangalore-based real estate developer, has reported a 88 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 7.5 crore for the third quarter of financial year 2009 as compared to Rs 61 crore for the corresponding period of last financial year. The top line too has 48 per cent to Rs 183 crore as against Rs 355 crore. The operating profit too fell 52 per cent as the company was caught in a grip of "most challenging environment."

SRF net profit rises 9% to Rs 37 crore
SRF, the domestic market leader in technical textiles, posted a 9 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 37 crore during the third quarter of 2008-09 on the back of better performance from non-textile businesses like chemicals and packaging films business. The company’s revenue during the period also improved marginally to Rs 419 crore as against Rs 412 crore recorded during the same period last year.

Sundaram Fasteners’ net plunges 96%
City-based Sundaram Fasteners has reported a 96 per cent drop in the net profit at Rs 64 lakh during the third quarter ended December 31, 2008 s compared to Rs 18 crore during the same period last year. Company's total income dropped by 3 per cent to Rs 287 crore from Rs 297 crore, a year ago.
