Auto component maker Sona Koyo Steering Systems today said it is exploring possibilities to supply its products to heavy commercial vehicle (CV) makers as it looks to increase its sale by around 30 per cent in this fiscal.
"In a commercial vehicle space, we are supplying only to Tata Motors' small truck Ace. Now, we are looking at the heavy CV segment," Sona Koyo Steering Systems Vice-Chairman and MD Sunjay Kapur told reporters on the sidelines of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) summit here.
The company is in discussion with major CV makers for supplying steering systems for their heavy vehicles, he added.
Kapur, however, declined to name any possible client.
When asked about its revenue, Kapur said, "In this fiscal we are expecting around Rs 1,200 crore of sales ... Last fiscal it was around Rs 912 crore."
The company currently supplies its products to all passenger vehicle manufacturers in India, including Tata Motors for its small car Nano.
