Sonata Software appoints DSP Investment's Rajan as independent director

Rajan brings with her experience as a financial professional spanning multiple roles and markets

Information technology (IT) consulting and software services firm Sonata Software today said it has appointed DSP Investments' Executive Vice President Radhika Rajan as a non-executive independent director on its board.

Rajan's appointment is effective today.

"Rajan will bring immense business, growth strategy and finance perspectives to the agenda that the Sonata Board drives," said Pradip Shah, chairman of Sonata Software. "We are happy to have such a qualified professional available on the Board."

Rajan brings with her experience as a financial professional spanning multiple roles and markets, Sonata Software said in a statement. She has earlier worked with Bank of America in India, Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan), Itochu, UBS, Bank of America and Bank of Montreal. She was also one of the early employees of mid-size IT services company Mphasis.

"IT continues to significantly impact every business vertical and every facet of modern living and society. I look forward to contributing again to the industry and to Sonata as a company in my new role on the Board," Rajan said.
