Sony India has renamed its Sony World retail brand stores to "Sony Center", effective August 2008.
In addition to the name change, Sony rolled-out a nationwide refurbishment program across the entire network during 2008. The name change is part of a global direction that will re-align all Sony Center stores across the globe and showcase the entire Sony range.
Sunil Nayyar, Sony India's head sales, said: "Since we named our first Sony World store, the network has established a reputation for being a 'one-stop-shop' where people can touch and feel Sony products seamlessly connected to provide an enriching & entertaining lifestyle."
