Sony India was aiming to sell 180,000 units in the country -- especially from soccer crazy states of Kerala and West Bengal, Sunil Nayyar, Head, Sales, Sony India, told reporters here.
Unveiling the FIFA promotion in Kerala, Nayyar said they had 'very ambitious and aggressive plans' from Kerala, where the consumer electronics brand was targetting sales of over 30,000 units, a 350% growth over same period last year.

From Kerala, Sony, the official TV partner of the FIFA World Cup 2014, was targetting sales of Rs 75 crore worth televisions, he said.
The price range of the televisions ranges from Rs 13,490- up to Rs 4 lakh.
To draw in consumers, attractive financial schemes have also been launched with a down payment of Rs 1,999 for any television and the balance to be paid in equal monthly installments.
As part of its marketing strategy, Sony will be investing Rs 2.5 crore.
As part of the FIFA offer, a replica of Brazuca, the official FIFA Match ball, free with every 28 inch and above Bravia LED television and free 8GB Pen drive worth Rs 565 with 22 inch Bravia LED television would be given to customers.
