In order to tap the budding smart generation in India, Sony on Thursday announced the launch of its premium range of Android televisions. It introduced TV BRAVIA 4K LED and claimed it is the world's slimmest, with a display of 4.9 mm. Sachin Rai, head of the BRAVIA business at Sony India,a unveiled the product series in New Delhi.
Integrated with Google Android OS-5.0, it brings your mobile on television and lets you control and work with apps, as you do on your smartphones. As fancy as it may sound, Sony has cleverly integrated the apps to pacify consumers' quick needs. A variety of apps from the Google Play Store can be accessed on television via remote handsets or your mobile and the TV could be run according to your whims and fancies.
With special features like Serial Abtak and Notify BRAVIA, it offers a vast variety of Google features like voice search, Google Cast and connectivity with accessories. Serial Abtak is specifically designed to tap the larger section of TV viewers in India, which comprises people who watch daily soaps and talent shows. It has access to regional channels as well. With Notify BRAVIA, you would be able to see notification on your television screen, just you see on your smartphones.

The new models have a range from 43 inches to 75 inches. While four of the 13 models are already in market, the remaining would see launches in August.
Picture quality and screen resolution have been a constant USP of Sony. With the launch of these impressively sleek and android- integrated televisions, it aims to rejig its control over its high-end technology consumers.
Sony BRAVIA Android TVs are definitely not cheap, but they start at Rs 69,900 for a 43-inch model, which makes them alluring and reasonable for a middle-income household too.
