Spanish brand Zara will start online sales in the country from October 4.

Due to its integrated offline-online store model, shoppers will be able to choose between picking up their orders at the store of their choice and at-home delivery, Zara said in a release. Similarly, when changing or returning purchased items, shoppers will have the choice of online management and returns at their most convenient store, during a 30-day period, it said.

Zara's rival H&M is planning to go online next year.

At-home delivery will be made between two and four working days in the most relevant cities: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. It will be made between five and eight working days in the rest of the country.

Standard deliveries will have a cost of Rs 290, with free delivery in purchases over Rs 4,000. At-store deliveries will be made between 3 and 5 working days and will be free, it said.

zara.com/in will offer the full range of articles that the brand currently offers in its stores in the country and at the same prices. The website is configured to enable purchasing from any mobile device, using any browser and by means of its app, available on both iOS and Android versions.

For all these operations, Zara is working with a warehouse located in the region of Haryana, very close to New Delhi, which is employing 50 people.
