Spencer’s Retail, part of the Rs 13,500 crore RPG group, has signed an exclusive tie-up with US-based apparel brand, Beverly Hills Polo Club (BHPC) International LLC.
The apparel brand will be available in Spencer’s hyper markets as well as standalone stores. "Fashion currently contributes 10 per cent to the company’s revenue, which is expected to increase 24-30 per cent in the years to follow,” said Sanjiv Goenka, vice chairman, RPG Enterprises.
Over the next three months, Spencer’s will dedicate about 12,000 sq ft space to the brand and target a turnover of Rs 1 crore a month. It also plans to set up three standalone stores of an average sq ft over the same period. The first standalone store is likely to come up in New Delhi by early next year, said a company release.
