As the fare war in the Indian skies escalates, SpiceJet is now offering 1 lakh seats on sale with fares starting as low as Rs 799 for travel from August 25 to March 26 next year.
The three-day sale ending on August 22 would cover destinations including Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru and Srinagar.
The lowest fare of Rs 799 would be available on routes such as Delhi-Chandigarh, Mumbai-Goa, Bengaluru-Kochi, Madurai-Chennai, Jammu-Srinagar among others.
An additional 10% discount will be offered to flyers who book through SpiceJet's mobile application on Apple's iOS and Android.
“We are known as the airline that has made air travel more affordable for more Indians than ever before, revolutionising the industry and driving record growth in passengers in the process. With this sale, we continue to promote the Freedom to Fly for more Indians in our long standing tradition," said Shilpa Bhatia, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Distribution, SpiceJet.
A sharp decline in the jet fuel cost is helping airlines offer tickets on discount throughout the season. Industry experts say fares are 10%lower than the previous year and this is helping airlines fill up more seats.
Low-cost carrier SpiceJet, which swung into profits in the last two quarters, has been offering tickets on sale almost every two weeks.
