SpiceJet Ltd, a low-cost airline, on Thursday announced further expansion of its network in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities by starting flights between Bangalore and Hubli in north Karnataka. It has commenced bookings for this sector. The services will commence from September 27, 2012.
The airline is offering inaugural fare of Rs 1,999 inclusive of all taxes. In Karnataka, SpiceJet currently connects Bangalore and Mangalore. Hubli will be third destination of SpiceJet in the state. Bangalore is also connected to Chandigarh via Mumbai.
The airline would be deploying Bombardier Q400 aircraft on Bengaluru-Hubli route as well as on Bangalore–Coimbatore route which will commence from September 27, 2012 onwards.
