Kochi-based Sree Sakthi Paper Mills Limited on Thursday reported a 16.43 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 1.70 crore for the quarter ended June 2011, as compared with Rs 1.46 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The net income during the quarter stood at Rs 49.65 crore, as against Rs 43.88 crore in the same period a year ago, reflecting a growth of 13.15 per cent.
The production for the quarter has increased to 19,619 tonne during the quarter, registering a 2 per cent growth.
The expansion-cum-modernization of the company’s Edayar plant was progressing as per the schedule, the company said in a press release on Thursday. The Krima Disperser installation is slated for this month while the Boiler-cum-Cogen plant is scheduled to be commissioned by October.
