Hyderabad-based mobile applications and SMS solutions provider, Sreeya Infotech, today launched its first product - PharmaLive. The new mobile app is designed for simplification and automation of pharma trade order management between distributors and retailers.

"While multinationals can afford to go for latest ERPs, pharma stockists typically use client-server applications. And, only five per cent of retailers use billing software. Cost is a major obstacle for stockists to use latest cloud-based ERP technologies. This mobile app fills that gap," Sridhar Narra, director of Sreeya Infotech, told mediapersons here.

According to various industry reports, there are over 100,000 super and sub-stockists, more than 300,000 sales persons for stockists and around two million retailers involved in pharma trade in India. With the overall business cycle getting delayed, close to 600,000 productive hours are going waste every day. PharmaLive saves time for both parties (stockists and retailers) and helps in reducing inventory and improving profitability, he added.

Narra said the company had tied up with a mobile devices manufacturer and was offering the mobile app bundled with Android-based tablet for Rs 13,000 a year, and for Rs 5,000 sans the hardware.

"We expect to sell approximately 2,000 tablets in the first six months," Narra said, adding the company was in the processing of coming out with an e-commerce app and one application targeting the non-banking finance sector in the next three months.
