Colombo based carrier SriLankan Airlines has extended the timeline for the transfer of reward points or miles under its frequent flyer programme FlySmiles from the earlier programme Skywards till August 15, an airline release here said.
The reward programme Skywards was in favour when the airlines had the Emirates financial backing.
After Emirates pull out in March this year, the airline had offered to its frequent flyer programme members an exchange of miles in full or part.
Members of Skywards who join FlySmiles will be immediately placed in the same tier.
The airline also has rewards on offer for its members. These include free tickets to any of SriLankan’s 41 destinations in 22 countries across Europe, the Middle East, South Asia and the Far East, and upgrades to Business Class.
All Members are entitled to free air tickets, upgrades to Business Class, pre-assigned seating, and priority wait-listing.
