SSI sells 10.15% stake

SSI, promoters of Aptech Ltd, and three others sold 4 million shares of the company in the open market to a clutch of investors for Rs 21 crore.

SSI Ltd sold 3.4 million shares amounting to 10.15 per cent of the company's equity for Rs 17.55 crore. The other three investors sold remaining six lakh shares for the total value of Rs 3.50 crore.

With today's sell off, SSI's holding in Aptech will come down to 15.60 per cent. SSI was holding 25.75 per cent stake in SSI as of March 31, 2005.

In two tranches, SBI Mutual Fund bought 4,60,000 and 9,19,974 shares at Rs 51, lower than yesterday's closing of Rs 56.80.
