SSTL reduces internet charges by 60% for Delhi NCR region

Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL) which operates under MTS brand name, today said it has slashed internet usage tariffs by up to 60% in Delhi NCR circle.

"We have specially designed these tariffs to provide our data customers with a world class mobile internet experience at the most affordable price backed by increased usage benefits," MTS India Chief Operating Officer, (Delhi NCR and Haryana Circle) Shankar Bali said in a statement.

The company said rate of surfing for the customer is reduced to 1/3 of the previous rate.

Earlier for Rs 348, the customer was getting 512 MB data which translates into 67.9 paisa/MB, but now with the revised rates, the customer will get 1.5 GB data usage for Rs 348 which translates into 22.5 paisa/MB, which is over 60% drop in usage charges, the company added.

MTS new data plans start from Rs 96 with 1GB data usage and one day validity and goes upto Rs 998 with 6 GB data usage and 90 days validity.

Besides reduction in existing data plans, the company has also introduced special tariff voucher (STV) of Rs 698 which comes bundled with 4 GB data usage and 60 days validity.

MTS has also crossed 3 lakh data customer milestone in the Delhi NCR circle, the company added.
