Starcom IP appoints Ambika Tiku as India head

She would be the business director and market lead for the country. The current Starcom IP India leader Hari Shankar, will be moving into a product focused regional role.

Tiku moves from Lowe India where she was the head of digital. She is expected to join Starcom IP in the last week of this month.  

Starcom IP recently appointed Sankalp Bala as group head in its Mumbai team. He comes from Group M Interactions where he specialised in search engine marketing.

Commenting on the appointment, Pushkar Sane, GM, Asia for Starcom IP said, "Hari has stabilised our India operations over the last year or so and has built a robust and committed team. As he prepares for a new role, I am excited that Ambika is coming on board to lead our team. She comes to us with a combination of strong foundation and rich digital experience on both client and agency sides. As we evolve our product from largely internet driven to now include mobile marketing and technology applications, we are looking forward to Ambika taking the Starcom IP offering to a new level".

Starcom IP is the digital marketing practice of Starcom MediaVest Group.
