Attributing the increase in bottom line to the bullish trends in the market, G Rajagopal Reddy, executive director, SCSL, said the company, besides increasing the daily trading, was able to bring down the overhead costs.
SCSL achieved a trading turnover of Rs 71,633 crore in 2007-08 with a revenue of Rs 42.13 crore, as against Rs 48,231 crore and Rs 30.68 crore respectively in the previous year.
"During the last fiscal, we added nearly 40 new branches and upgraded our technology, but this year we will go slow on expansion because of the bearish trend in the stock market," he said.
