Packaged food maker Nestle India today said the strike at its Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) plant has been called-off and workers at the factory have resumed work.

"The strike has ended and workers have resumed work," Nestle India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Earlier this month, the company had said that workers at its Pantnagar plant have gone on a strike, after the company took disciplinary action against some employees.

The strike at the facility had initially began in the last week of April, according to reports.

The company had termed this strike as "illegal and unjustified."

Nestle India, however, did not say anything regarding the impact of the strike on the company's business.

The company has seven plants in India. Besides, the Pantnagar factory, Nestle India's other facilities are located in Goa (two), Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab and Haryana.
