Skills Training and Research in Vocational Education Services Private Limited (STRiVE), incubated under the IFMR (Institute of Financial Management and Research) Trust, targets to create 1 million job opportunities for youth from the underserved segments in the next five years.

Suresh Mutyala, promoter and CEO, said the institute aims to facilitate any of the stages involved to help a person get into a viable livelihood activity.

The institute would map the skills required by corporates and impart the same to the youth, besides providing funding options to them, he said.

In the first phase, the institute would offer courses in retail, vernacular BPO (Telugu), and banking and financial verticals.

"We have already started training 66 ex-service men for ICICI Prudential Life at our Hyderabad campus and are looking at offering courses for ICICI Bank as well," Mutyala said.
