Subex, Visakha, Mahabank & Rane Engine Q3 Results

Subex Systems has reported 40 per cent increase in net profit to touch Rs 11.8 crore for the third quarter ended December 2005 as against the corresponding quarter of the previous finacial.
 
Revenues were up 48 per cent to Rs 48.7 crore. On a q-o-q basis, net profit has move up by 14.5 per cent while the topline has moved up by 16.5 per cent. The company also announced plans for issue of GDRs for an aggregate amount of $10 million to finance potential acquisitions.
 
Visakha net up 57% to Rs 5.57 cr
Hyderabad-based Visakha Industries reported net profit of Rs 5.57 crore for the third quarter ended December 2005, as compared with Rs 3.54 crore recorded during the same period last year, registering an increase of 57 per cent.
 
The company's turnover stood at Rs 70.83 crore, registering an increase of 38.48 per cent over the corresponding previous quarter of Rs 51.15 crore. Net profit for the nine-month period of the current financial year too witnessed a 57 per cent growth at Rs 15.10 crore.
 
Mahabank Q3 net at Rs 26.75 crore
Bank of Maharashtra (Mahabank) has posted a net profit of Rs 26.75 crore for the third quarter ended December 2005 against a net loss of Rs 57.33 crore in the same period last year.
 
Total income for the reporting quarter was slightly down to Rs 661.73 crore from Rs 696.77 crore in October-December 2004. Advances rose to Rs 14,964 crore as on December 2005 from Rs 11,105 crore a year ago.
 
Rane Engine net dips 59%
Rane Engine Valves recorded a net profit of Rs 2.74 crore (Rs 6.63 crore) for the quarter ended December 2005, lower by 58.6 per cent in relation to the previous year.
 
The board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share. Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 37.8 crore (Rs 41.63 crore).
