Hyderabad-based Suchirindia is planning to invest about Rs 600 crore over the next three years, mainly in hospitality and entertainment sectors.

The real estate company is developing a four-star hotel with 208 rooms at Colombo in Sri Lanka with an investment of Rs 150 crore. The project would be ready by 2014, said Y Kiron, chief executive officer and managing director, Suchirindia.

This apart, the group has decided to set up budget hotels at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Mysore with an outlay of Rs 120-130 crore. These would be operational by 2014, he added.

At present, Suchirindia operates two resorts in Hyderabad and is now planning to expand its resorts business to pilgrimage centres like Tirupati, Shirdi, Srisailam and Khajuraho. At each place, the group would develop resorts with 25 to 70 rooms with Rs 45 crore over the next two years, he said.

These would come up mostly in AP, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Bihar. “We have also decided to build an adventure park in Hyderabad on 300 acres. The park will have a golf club, health city and other facilities. The group will spend Rs 150 crore on this,” he said.
