Sujana Towers Ltd, Tower division of Sujana Metal Products Ltd, today bagged three prestigious orders for the supply of transmission line towers, valued at Rs 148.38 crore, from SPIC SMO & SEW Infrastructure Ltd.
These towers would be used in the transmission lines being constructed by them for the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) and Uttar Pradesh Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd, a Sujana release said here today.
As part of the deal, which will be executed over the next three months, Sujana Towers would design, test and supply about 16,700 MT of 400 KV multi circuit towers.
These trans-India lines, which will be erected and commissioned by SPIC and SEW. The line that is being commissioned by M/s SEW will cater to about 30 per cent of the UP population.
Kamesh Yalamarty, Managing Director, Sujana Towers Ltd said, "Sujana has an inherent competitive advantage on account of it being the single stop source for all transmission requirements. Sujana's ability to manufacture right from raw material and mould it into finished products will ensure meeting price lines and timely delivery of the order."
