Sundaram Infotech expands footprint in Sri Lanka

Sundaram Infotech's IT implementation across five stores in Sri Lanka is expected to streamline the operations

As part of strengthening its presence overseas, Sundaram Infotech has expanded its footprint in Sri Lanka with a customised ERP implementation of its Retail Suite developed on Microsoft ERP technology platform to Avirate Fashions.

Avirate Fashions is an international high-street fashion label owned by The Timex and Fergasam Group.

"The company has now expanded its presence in Sri Lanka with a customised ERP implementation of its retail suite of IT Solutions on the Microsoft ERP technology platform at Avirate Fashions", Sundaram Infotech, IT subsidiary of city-based non-banking finance company Sundaram Finance, said in a statement.

Sundaram Infotech's IT implementation across five stores in Sri Lanka and six in India is expected to streamline the operations, improve customer service and efficiency, resulting in significant reduction in cost and time, it said.

This deal strengthens Sundaram Infotech's presence geographically and also in the retail space, it said.

Sundaram Infotech had earlier signed similar deals in the United States and United Kingdom market.

The Timex and Fergasam Group produces high fashion garments for European Union and USA. It has manufacturing plants in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and over 10,000 employees, the release added.
