Plastic products maker Supreme Industries has reported a nearly three-fold growth in its net profit for the fourth quarter ended June 30 at Rs 59.95 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The company had a net profit of Rs 20.49 crore during the same period last year, the company said in a statement today.
The total income of the company rose to Rs 565.17 crore in the last quarter of 2008-09 from Rs 444.12 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company has declared a dividend Rs 12 per share.
"We have seen good performance in all product segments during the year under review," Supreme Industries Managing Director MP Taparia said.
For the full financial year, it reported a net profit of Rs 97.38 crore, a growth of over 90 per cent compared to Rs 51.11 crore in financial year 2008.

The total income rose to Rs 1,660.97 crore for the whole fiscal from Rs 1,319.16 crore in the last fiscal.
Shares of Supreme Industries rose 7 per cent and were trading at Rs 320 in the late afternoon trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
