Surat-based SVLL launches luxury passenger buses

The luxury buses, which will run on Mumbai-Surat-Mumbai route, are designed to provide flight-like services to the tourists

SVLL Connect Pvt. Ltd., a group company of Surat-based Siddhi Vinayak Logistic Ltd. (SVLL), launched the intercity seven-star luxury passenger buses between Mumbai and Surat in association with Scania Commercial Vehicle India Pvt Ltd in Mumbai on Tuesday, a statement issued by the SVLL said.

An online portal, bookmyconnect.com, has also been started to facilitate online ticket booking of SVLL luxury buses, the statement added.

The luxury buses, which will run on Mumbai-Surat-Mumbai route, are designed to provide flight-like services to the tourists. The buses house restrooms, pantries, and facilities like personal LCD screen with USB compatibility and Sennheiser headphones in addition to mobile/laptop charging points and Wi-Fi connection.

The portal offers online real time booking and seat selection. Tickets can also be booked through a mobile application, WAP or through a call centre.

Apart from launching intercity seven-star luxury passenger buses between Mumbai and Surat, SVLL Connect is also commencing luxurious intercity cab services for corporate hiring. The cabs, which are being started in Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), can be chosen from three stylish options of Innova, Ertiga and Etios. The recliner seater 'seven-star' luxury passenger, has been designed by Dilip Chhabria of automotive design firm DC Design .

The luxury passenger bus service was flagged off by Deepak Baid, director, SVLL Connect Pvt. Ltd.

R C Baid, chairman and chief mentor, SVLL Connect Pvt.Ltd., said, "Our alliance with Scania marks a key milestone in allowing us to cross the threshold into a new segment of transportation in India. With Scania's manufacturing expertise, Dilip Chhabria of automotive design and SVLL's network reach in the country, our combined capabilities will enhance our ability to offer world-class facilities to our customers."

Deepak Baid said "The Indian luxury transport is improving with new technology adoptions and growing requirements for comfort travelling. SVLL Connect has launched the buses first in the western market and after a year or so, we plan to move to other parts of the country."
