Seforge Limited, a Suzlon Group subsidiary, said it made an agreement with an undisclosed wind turbine manufacturer for the supply of machined tower flanges, used for wind towers, over a period of three years. The Rs 367 crore contract covers supply of flanges for wind turbine towers for projects in India and international markets.

“This agreement underscores our ability to deliver components that meet the exacting standards of the global wind industry. We project that by FY13 50 per cent of our sales will be from companies outside the Suzlon Group," Kamlesh Bhadani, cheif executive officer, Seforge said.

Seforge's forging facility at Vadodara in Gujarat has a capacity of producing seamless forged rings of maximum diameter of 5.2 meters, with an annual capacity of between 40,000 to 60,000 rings.
