Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy today bagged orders worth Rs 118.8 crore from Malpani Group to setup, operate and maintain two new wind power projects in Karnataka and Maharashtra.
"This is the fifth project bagged by Suzlon Energy, which underlines their commitment to wind energy and trust in Suzlon's value proposition and capabilities," Suzlon said in a statement.
The 19.8 Mw order comprises of eight units of Suzlon's S88-2.1 Mw and two units of Suzlon's S82 - 1.5 Mw wind turbine generators to be commissioned in the two states," it said.
According to a company spokesperson, 1 Mw costs Rs six crore of investment and with 19.8 Mw the investment would be around Rs 118.8 crore.

Suzlon Energy currently has operations across Asia, Australia, Europe and North and South America, the statement added.
