Wind power major Suzlon Energy today said it had bagged two orders worth over Rs 200 crore from third-party operators.
Suzlon's 100% subsidiary Seforge, engaged in manufacturing of large size castings and large diameter forged and machined rings, has received two-third party orders worth Rs 120 crore from an independent wind turbine tower manufacturer for tower flanges, and Rs 80 crore for castings, the company said in a statement.
The country is witnessing a strong growth momentum not only in wind, but also in non-wind sectors like oil and gas, and particularly in markets such as North America, Seforge Chief Executive Kamlesh Bhadani said.
"Looking ahead, we expect the oil and gas sector to contribute around 20% of our forging division's revenues in FY13," he added.
