Swosti Travels Limited, a part of the city-based Swosti Group, is expecting a 25 per cent growth in its bookings in the outbound leisure travel segment and the growth in this segment will mainly come on the back of new overseas tour packages.
“We are expecting a 25 per cent growth in our bookings for outbound leisure travelers during the peak tourism season this year. Swosti Travels has rolled out new tour packages for exotic destinations like Hong Kong, Kunming (China) and Turkey in addition to its existing packages for overseas tourism hotspots”, Sailendra Patnaik, general manager, Swosti Travels told Business Standard.
This year, Swosti Travels has launched tour packages for Kunming and Guilin, the two scenic tourist destinations in China. The special attraction of Kunming is the Stone Forest, the amazing forest made of stone pillars. The tourists visiting Kunming will also get an opportunity to visit the Sani villages around the Stone Forest where they can enjoy the customs and habits of local people and also purchase the handicrafts made by the locals. The tour package of Kunming includes a visit to the picturesque Daguan Lake Park to explore its excellent view of the waters, hills in the distance and sailing boats.
The trip to Guilin has a cruise between Li river and Yangshuo, the river being famous for its verdant mountains, fragrant waters and exquisite rocks. The Hong Kong trip among other things includes a visit to Disney Land, Repulse Bay Beach, Aberdeen harbour and the Victoria Peak located at 1,503 feet above sea level which gives a panoramic view of the city.
Under the Yachting Turkey tour package, the tourists will be driven to the Fethiye harbour port to board the luxury yacht for a memorable trip. The leisure tourists can also enjoy swimming or snorkeling at the tranquil Ag Bay. This time, Swosti Travels has added an exciting private car travel product to its Switzerland tour package. Swosti Travels caters to over 500 leisure travelers from Orissa who head for overseas tour destinations every year. The company has already recorded an overall growth of 20 per cent during April-September this year, which includes the earnings from inbound as well as outbound leisure tourists.
