Tata Autocomp Systems (Taco), a Tata group firm, is acquiring the business and assets of Wundsch Weidinger, a German automotive components supplier, for an undisclosed sum.The German company, which makes functional plastic parts and systems for the automotive industry, had 270 employees and had filed for insolvency in March 2005, an official release, issued by Taco, said today."The acquisition would be made through the 100% subsidairy set up in Germany for this purpose," the release added.Weidinger's facility is located in Coburg in the state of Bavaria, Germany, and offers development, tool shop, precision injection moulding, surface enrichment and assembly operations, it said.The major customers of Weidinger include Audi, Bentley, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Volkswagen and Volvo, it added.
