Talbros eyes markets in US and Europe

Faridabad-based Talbros Automotive Components Ltd (TACL), one of the leading auto components company of the country, is planning to reach out to the US and European markets. The company is also planning to acquire auto components companies abroad.
 
To increase exports of its products, the company is planning to set up marketing offices in the US and European countries.
 
"To increase exports, the company is planning to appoint marketing agents and distributors in the US and European markets," said a senior company official. At present, Talbros gaskets are exported to over 25 countries around the world.
 
These decisions were likely to be taken at the meeting of its board of directors, scheduled on December 16, he added.
 
The TACL board is also likely to consider various options of raising additional resources by way of term loans, preferential issues of shares, debentures, bonds and debts in rupee and foreign currency to meet the cost of expansion and acquisition.
 
The company manufactures automotive and industrial gaskets in collaboration with Federal Mogul of the US. The company registered a 17 rise in the income at Rs 30.13 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2005, as compared with Rs 25.60 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The net profit has grown by 90 per cent from Rs 79 lakh to Rs.1.50 crore.
 
To meet the requirements of Japanese automobile manufacturers in India and the global markets, the company recently entered into a technical tie-up with Nippon Leakless Corporation of Japan. It has also set up a production unit under the joint venture at Manesar in Haryana. The company has already launched trial production at the unit.
 
Talbros, the largest gasket manufacturer in the country, is the original equipment (OE) supplier to almost all engine and vehicle manufacturers in India including trucks and buses, light utility vehicles, passenger cars, tractors, two-wheelers, industrial and stationary diesel engines.
