TalentSprint buys Java Learning

TalentSprint, a Hyderabad-based skill development and training company that recently raised $1.57 million from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in a Series-B round of funding, has acquired Bengaluru-based Java Learning Center (JLC). JLC, which specialises in offering advanced programming courses in Java and related technologies to new job seekers and young professional, currently has a capacity of 2,000 trainees a year, and will expand to 6,000 immediately as a result of this transaction. The combined capacity will rise to 30,000 trainees a year by 2020, TalentSprint said in a release.

Snapdeal buys MartMobi

E-commerce major Snapdeal has acquired Hyderabad-based mobile technology start-up, MartMobi, for an undisclosed sum. MartMobi, founded by Pramod Nair and Satya Krishna Ganni in December 2012, creates mobile sites and apps for e-commerce stores, and small and medium enterprises. The self-service platform currently has a clientele base of over 150.

Postman raises $1 million

Postman, an application program interface (API) development platform run by Bengaluru-based start-up Postdot Technologies, has raised $1 million (approximately Rs 6.3 crore) in a seed round of funding from Nexus Venture Partners. The year-old start-up is planning to invest the funds in setting up an office in San Francisco sometime during this year, according to DealCurry.

Fabhotels gets $5 million

Hotel accommodation portal Fabhotels.com has got a funding of $5 million (about Rs 31.5 crore) from Accel Partners and Kalaari Capital. Fabhotels works on the asset-light model and has over 50 hotels across six cities.

theKarrier raises $240,000

theKarrier, a platform that links users to local mini-truck service providers, has raised $240,000 (around Rs 1.5 crore) in a seed round of funding by early stage investment firm Sol Primero with participation from OutBox Ventures and Nikunj Jain, founder of Frankly.me.
