US-based media firm TalentTrove plans to launch an entertainment television channel in India, besides setting up a production house at an investment of $30 million by 2011.
TalentTrove offers an online platform to people for showcasing their talent, which the company distributes through the internet.
"We plan to invest $30 million over the next two-three years to offer a platform for new talent and present it through television, films, publishing and internet radio," TalentTrove Vice-President Jatinder Singh told PTI.
While $15 million will be funded through internal accruals, the rest would be raised from external instruments, he added, without specifying details.
The company, which will open its office in Mumbai next month, is looking at starting its channel in the next one year along with a film production house.
"We will offer the people who post their videos, audios, texts (written pieces) and images on the website a chance to showcase their talent through our channel and the films we produce," he said.
The company is in discussion to provide content to television channels, he added.
