Tamil Nadu Newsprint June quarter PAT up 33% to Rs 69 cr

Turnover up 16.6% to Rs 745 crore

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd (TNPL) has reported a 33 per cent growth in profit after Tax (PAT) during the quarter ended June 30, 2016 at Rs 69.51 crore, as against Rs 52.25 crore, a year ago.

Turnover stood at Rs 744.84 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 from Rs 639.02 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, up by 16.56 per cent.

Printing & Writing Paper production during the quarter was 95,956 metres and sales was 116,003 metres. Paperboard production during the quarter was 24,584 metres.
