Tata Chemicals signs technical services pact with Notore

Tata Chemicals (TCL) today said it has signed an agreement with Notore Chemicals Industries of Nigeria for providing technical advisory services.

"The company has executed a technical Advisory Services Agreement with Notore Chemicals Industries (Notore), Nigeria for providing technical advisory services for improving efficiency of Notore's fertiliser plant," the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Notore's fertiliser plant, based at Onne, River State, manufactures urea.

The company (Notore) owns a KBR ammonia plant and a Stamicarbon urea plant of 1000 Te/1550 capacity.

TCL will send its experts to help Notore improve the systems and processes resulting in the efficiencies of area of operations and maintenance, the filing said.

There is no investment involved at present and TCL's fees are linked to improvement in the output from the plant performance, it added.

Shares of TCL closed at Rs 362.05, up 2.13% from its previous close, on the BSE today.
