Tata Coffee today reported an over two-fold increase in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 31.84 crore on account of better sales in the three-month period.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 13.59 crore in the April-June period in 2011, Tata Coffee said in a filing to the BSE.
The consolidated total income from operations during the first quarter of the current fiscal went up by 23.57% to Rs 413.73 crore from Rs 334.82 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
Tata Coffee shares today closed 0.72% down at Rs 946.30 apiece on the BSE.
