Tata Communications today announced that they have appointed Australia-based Whygo as their channel sales partner for its telepresence services. This partnership allows Whygo to sell Tata Communications' public telepesence suite hours to its customers.

Customers will also be able to schedule their telepresence booking online via Whygo's portal. "We hope that with this partnership, even more business executives can take advantage of the productivity this technology brings, without considerable cost of building a private room at their premises," says John Landau, Sr VP, Global Managed Services, Tata Communications.

Whygo owns the first online booking portal for public video-conferencing facilities with more than 2,500 locations worldwide. Whygo has operations in more than 20 countries and is Tata Communications' first channel partner in this vertical.  "We are looking forward to riding on Tata Communications' aggressive telepresence expansion plans to help us bring the telepresence experience to even more enterprises and SMEs and as a pay-per-use service," says James Matthews, Managing Director, Whygo Group.

Tata Communications has been operating public telepresence rooms with their community partners since 2008 and now has presence in India, London, Boston, Manila and Johannesburg.
