The Tata Group is planning to set up a Tata AIG technology development centre in Hyderabad, besides extending support to the innovation fund of T-Hub, a startup incubation initiative by the Telangana government, through Tata Capital, according to state IT and panchayat raj minister KT Rama Rao.

The minister, who called on Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry and Reliance Group chief Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai on Monday with a sole mission to attract investments to Telangana, explained to them their industrial policy and the investment opportunities that the state offered across sectors.

"We discussed on various investment possibilities in sectors including IT, manufacturing and housing in the state. Mistry agreed to partner the state in its one lakh double bedrooms scheme for the poor, through Tata Housing," Rama Rao said in a statement on Monday.

Later in the day, the minister met Mukesh Ambani. "A vision without execution is an illusion," the minister quoted Ambani as saying, adding that Ambani had expressed his willingness to work with the Telangana government in various sectors, strategies for which were already in place.
