Tata Housing's Raisina Residency bags IGBC gold certification

Tata Housing Development Company said today it has received the first Gold Certification from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Green Homes rating for its Raisina Residency project in Gurgaon, near Delhi.

With this certification, the Tata firm becomes the first company in India to receive a gold certification in the residential space from IGBC, a press release issued here said.

The evaluation process of the certification was based on parmeters such as site slection and planning, water eficiency, energy efficiency, materials, internal environment quality and innovation and design process, the release said.

IGBC Green Homes is the first rating programme developed in India exclusively for the residential sector and is based on the accepted energy environmental principles and strikes a balance between known established practices and emerging concepts, the release said.

Tata Housing's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Brotin Banerjee, said, "we are extremely pleased to receive yet another Gold Certification from IGBC, and this time in the residential space for our prestigious premium project, Raisina Residency, Gurgaon."
