Tata Motors enters Indonesian market, launches 3 vehicles

Tata Aria, Tata Vista and Tata Safari Storme are the three vehicles launched

Tata Motors today said it has entered the Indonesian market with the launch of three passenger vehicles.
 
The company's wholly-owned subsidiary PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI) has introduced Tata Aria, Tata Vista and Tata Safari Storme in the Indonesian market.
 
Commenting on the development, Tata Motors Managing Director Karl Slym said, "Since we made the announcement to enter this market a year back, we have tested various products across Indonesian terrain and are convinced that we are bringing in the right product mix, offering smart solutions for mobility to our Indonesian customers."

PT TMDI President Director Biswadev Sengupta said, "All these products are being introduced after extensive trials and tests in Indonesia to ensure that they meet the operating requirements here."
 
"Very soon, we will be coming out with many more products," he added.
 
Biswadev said TMDI is introducing five sales, service and spare parts dealers in Indonesia and four more will come up by December.
 
"We hope to have a total of 15 dealerships by March'14. Apart from these set ups, we are setting up around 40 additional workshops by March'14 which will offer customers service almost at their door steps," he added.
 
The company has also launched its flagship '24x1 parts programme' under which it will offer parts free of cost to customer if it can't supply it within 24 hours.
 
"Indonesia is increasingly becoming one of the most promising emerging markets and Tata Motors sees an immense potential for growth here," the company said, adding PT Tata Motors Indonesia was established in September 2012 with a long term commitment to this market.
