Tata Motors today reported 3% decline in its total sales in June this year at 64,341 units.
The company's domestic sales of commercial and passenger vehicles for the month declined by 5% to 58,270 units against 61,266 units in June last year.
Tata Motors' sales of commercial vehicles in June 2012 in the domestic market stood at 41,026 units compared to 39,272 units sold in June last year, up 4%, it said in a statement.
Light commercial vehicle sales were at 28,363 units, a growth of 22% from 23,198 units sold in June last year, it added.
Medium and heavy vehicle sales stood at 12,663 units, down 21% from 16,074 units sold in June, last year.
Passenger vehicles sales for June were lower by 22% to 17,244 units against 21,994 units sold in the same month last year.
Sales of the Tata Nano were 5,605 units, up three% over 5,452 units in June last year.
The Indica range sales declined by 35% to 5,332 vehicles compared 8,188 units sold in the same month last year.
The Indigo range recorded sales of 2,658 units, lower by 46% against 4,882 units in the year-ago period.
The Sumo, Safari, Aria and Venture range were at 3,649 units in June, up five% from 3,472 units in the same month last year, the statement said.
The company's exports in June grew by 19% to 6,071 units compared to 5,094 units in June last year.
