Tata Motors, the country's largest commercial vehicle maker, has reported a growth of 57.7 per cent in its April 2004 sales at 24,961 units over 15,829 vehicles sold in April last year. |
The company's sales in the domestic market stood at 24,026 vehicles against 14,966 vehicles sold in the same period of the previous year, an increase of 60.5 per cent. |

Commercial vehicle sales stood at 12,050 units, an increase of 71.2 per cent over 7,037 vehicles sold in April 2003. Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales grew 76.1 per cent and light commercial vehicle sales showed a growth of 62.6 per cent. The passenger car segment reported a total sale of 11,976 vehicles in the domestic market in April 2004, an increase of 51 per cent over April 2003. |
