Tata Power's first CER nod for Khandke wind farm

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated private power utility, has registered its first clean development mechanism (CDM) project with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to claim certified emission reductions (CERs).

UNFCCC has approved Tata Power’s 50.4 MW Khandke wind farm project in Maharashtra which commenced commercial operation in December 2007. The Khandke project is expected to earn nearly 85,000 CERs annually from UNFCCC.
