Tata Ryerson, a 50:50 joint venture between Tata Steel and Ryerson Inc, has made a foray into stainless steel business through Trynox brand, and is eyeing a 10% market share by 2010.Sandipan Chakravortty, managing director of Tata Ryerson, said the company would be investing Rs 40 crore by 2008-09. The stainless steel project was being spearheaded by a Ryerson representative.Ryerson Inc is one of the leading distributors and processor of metals in America.Currently, an investment of Rs 46 crore was in various stages of implementation.The investment was being made in a cold rolling processing facility in Faridabad, cold rolling facility in Pune and an additional hot rolling facility in Jamshedpur.Apart from the stainless steel project, the new projects of the company include a rebar processing facility at Faridabad and steel service centre at Pantnagar in Uttaranchal.
