Tata Steel has almost doubled investment in Haldia coke project to Rs 1,650 crore. Tata Power is planning to set up a 120 MW power plant at Haldia for the project - twice the generation capacity envisaged earlier.Coke capacity increased to 1.6 million tonne from the earlier plan of 0.4 milion tonne. The oven is to be commissioned by June 2007.
