Tata Steel today reported a 28% increase in net profit at Rs 1,222.11 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 953.41 crore in Q1FY07.According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 4,343.70 crore from Rs 3,977.38 crore in Q1FY07.
