Tata Steel today reported a 12.26% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,111.32 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 as against Rs 989.91 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2004.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 5,123.32 crore in Q2FY06 from Rs 4,085.25 crore in Q2FY05.
