Tata Tea has posted a 39% jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 299.15 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 215.47 crore for FY05. According to an official release issued to the BSE today, total income has increased to Rs 3150.86 crore for FY06 from Rs 3076.53 crore in FY05. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 19.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 25.83 crore for Q4FY05. Total income is Rs 243.53 crore for Q4FY06 as compared to Rs 249.36 crore in Q4FY05.The board has recommended a dividend of 120%.
