TCS to set up Rs 500-crore eco-friendly software development campus in Indore

Leading information technology services, consulting and business solution company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is ready to set up its software development campus in Indore Madhya Pradesh with Rs 500-crore investment.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation stone for phase I at the site of the campus on Saturday.

“This will be a state of art facility and a full IT services and solutions campus with engineering blocks, training centre and other necessary facilities,” said N Chandrasekaran, chief executive officer and managing director, TCS at the foundation laying ceremony of the campus.

This campus will come up at the land allotted by Madhya Pradesh government in its special economic zone and the announced investment will be done in two phases, said officials.

We plan a 100% eco-friendly campus with green buildings, zero discharge, energy efficient systems, rain water harvesting system and integrated building management system, added Chandrasekaran.

“We are determined to provide all necessary infrastructure and facilities to TCS for the development of this campus. This will create lot of jobs for people of Madhya Pradesh and also generate revenues,” said Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

This project will directly and indirectly create around 10,000-15,000 jobs in the coming days, said officials.
